Kenya National Police DT SACCO Breaks Ground for Modern Saluting Dias at National Police College Embakasi B Campus
The Kenya National Police DT SACCO has reaffirmed its commitment to community social investment through the groundbreaking of a state-of-the-art Saluting Dias at the National Police College Embakasi B Campus.
The ceremony was held on-site and attended by distinguished guests, including Mr. George Nderitu – AIG, General Staffing Officer (representing the GSU Commandant, Mr. Ranson Lolmodoomi), Campus Commanding Officer Mr. William Samoei – AIG, SACCO Chairman Mr. David Mategwa, SACCO CEO Mr. Solomon Atsiaya, members of the SACCO board, and other dignitaries.
The new Saluting Dias project, valued at KES 60 million, is a key part of the SACCO’s Corporate Social Investment (CSI) initiatives and is expected to be among the most modern in the region, incorporating contemporary features to serve ceremonial and training functions.
Speaking during the event, Mr. Solomon Atsiaya, CEO of the Kenya National Police DT SACCO, emphasized the SACCO’s financial strength and commitment to giving back to its stakeholders.
“Our SACCO has strong capitalization, which means we always have the capacity to undertake Corporate Social Investment projects like this without any issues. The General Service Unit has been a key stakeholder in the SACCO, and we will always support them,” said Mr. Atsiaya.
SACCO Chairman Mr. David Mategwa reiterated the organization’s leadership in the cooperative sector and its ongoing dedication to social responsibility.
“Kenya National Police DT SACCO remains the strongest SACCO in the region. We will continue with our mandate of social responsibility. These kinds of projects do not affect member dividends because cooperatives have an obligation to give back to the community. Our continued success in the CSR sector is due to good management and solid capitalization,” said Mr. Mategwa.
Representing the GSU Commandant, Mr. George Nderitu, AIG, appreciated the SACCO’s initiative and urged the institution to consider expanding its impact through educational programs.
“We request the SACCO to invest in Financial Literacy Programs so that the money and projects given to members can have long-term, meaningful benefits,” said Mr. Nderitu.
This groundbreaking marks yet another milestone in the SACCO’s commitment to supporting law enforcement officers, not only through financial services but also by improving the physical infrastructure of key institutions.
