Kenya to host 24th SACCA congress

Kenya is set to host the 24th Savings and Credit Cooperatives Association (SACCA) Congress this year.
Scheduled to take place from October 6 to 12, 2024, the SACCA Congress will be held in Naivasha, Nakuru County, Kenya.
This event follows the hosting of SACCA last year in Gaborone, Botswana.
The African Confederation of Cooperatives Savings and Credit Associations (ACCOSCA) announced that the congress will bring together 2000 cooperators from 42 countries across six continents.
Thecongress aims to explore how the Cooperative Business Model contributes to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
“From the 6th to 12th October, all roads will be leading to Naivasha, Nakuru County with over 2000 cooperators from 42 global countries representing 6 continents convene to unpack how the Cooperative Business Model is contributing towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals,” noted ACCOSCA.
Established in 1968, ACCOSCA operates under domicile laws and its own constitution. It has garnered support from members and stakeholders dedicated to improving living conditions in Africa.
The General Assembly, comprising twenty-nine countries, serves as the highest organ of ACCOSCA.
Held annually in various member states within the region, the General Assembly ensures that ACCOSCA’s activities remain aligned with addressing the challenges faced by Africa.
