The 2026 Meru National Show officially opened on Wednesday, June 17, bringing together exhibitors from across the country to showcase innovations, products and services in agriculture, trade, finance and other key sectors of the economy.
The annual event, organized by the Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK), will run until June 20 and is expected to attract visitors from Meru County and neighbouring regions, including Tharaka Nithi, Isiolo and Laikipia counties.
Savings and Credit Cooperative Societies (SACCOs) are among the institutions participating in the exhibition, using the platform to showcase a wide range of financial services to empower individuals, businesses, and communities.
Among the exhibitors is Yetu DT SACCO, which is inviting visitors to its stand to learn more about its affordable loan products, savings plans, investment opportunities and other financial solutions designed to help members achieve their financial goals.
Also exhibiting at the show is Solution SACCO, which is showcasing various financial services tailored to support personal and business growth.
“Solution Sacco is excited to be exhibiting at the Meru ASK Show from 17th June to 20th June 2026,” the SACCO said in a statement.
According to the Agricultural Society of Kenya, the Meru National Show remains one of the region’s leading agricultural and trade exhibitions, providing a platform for learning, networking and business development.
“The premier event celebrates agricultural innovation, trade and regional collaboration, providing a vibrant platform for learning, networking and business growth,” ASK said.
The society noted that Meru County is a major agricultural hub known for tea, coffee, dairy farming and horticultural production, as well as a rapidly growing agribusiness and SME sector.
ASK said the show promotes inter-county collaboration by enabling farmers, entrepreneurs and institutions to exchange knowledge, strengthen trade networks and expand market opportunities across Eastern and Central Kenya.
The exhibition has attracted participants from diverse sectors, including agriculture, manufacturing, housing, banking, hospitality, education, public institutions and small and medium-sized enterprises.
“The Show promotes active participation by schools, farmer groups and local enterprises, encouraging practical skills development, adoption of new technologies and sustainable practices,” ASK said.
The 2026 edition is being held under the theme: “Promoting Climate Smart Agriculture and Trade Initiatives for Sustainable Economic Growth.”
According to ASK, the theme aligns with its mission of promoting excellence in agriculture, trade and allied sectors through exhibitions, research, technology and innovation aimed at enhancing food security, creating employment opportunities and generating wealth.
