The SACCO Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA) has appointed David Sandagi as its substantive Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

In a statement issued on Monday, June 8, 2026, the Authority said the appointment was made by the board following consultations with the Public Service Commission and the Cabinet Secretary for Co-operatives and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development.

Sandagi has been serving in an acting capacity since August 2025 before his confirmation to the top position.

“We wish him success as he continues to provide strategic leadership and advance the Authority’s transformation agenda,” SASRA said.

Sandagi is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and a Certified Expert in Financial Inclusion (CEFI). He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Banking.
