Early Life
Elisabeth DelPadre Filarski was born on May 28, 1977, in Cranston, Rhode Island. She is the daughter of Elizabeth DelPadre, a Catholic school teacher and lawyer, and Kenneth Filarski, an architect. Elisabeth has one brother, Kenneth Jr., who is an attorney.
She attended St. Mary Academy–Bay View in East Providence, graduating in 1995, and went on to Boston College, where she captained the women’s softball team to consecutive Big East championships. Hasselbeck earned a Fine Arts degree focused on large-scale paintings and industrial design in 1999. While in college, she also worked for Puma on its design team.
Rise to Fame on Television
Elisabeth first gained national attention on Survivor: The Australian Outback (2001), finishing in fourth place as the sole remaining member of the Kucha tribe.
