Stima Sacco, Pesalink partner to enhance instant payments for over 200k members

More than 200,000 Stima Sacco members will enjoy seamless transactions via Pesalink payment network.

The Integrated Payment Services Limited (IPSL), operator of Pesalink, partnered with Stima Sacco to roll out Kenya’s most seamless and affordable instant payments solution for SACCO members.

How much can Sacco members transact via Pesalink?

Stima Sacco CEO Dr Gamaliel Hassan said the collaboration with Pesalink will enable 220,000 Sacco members to send and receive KSh 999,999 per transaction instantly through the MStima App and USSD.

“We became the first SACCO in Kenya to connect fully to a national instant payments platform. For us as a SACCO, this collaboration is more than technology, it is a commitment. A commitment to inclusion. A commitment to convenience.

“A commitment to ensuring that every member, every business, every chama, and every staff member experiences the ease and reliability of modern digital finance,” said Dr Hassan.

Pesalink CEO Gituku Kirika affirmed the collaboration, noting that the combination of the extensive Stima Sacco membership with Pesalink’s instant payment capabilities creates Kenya’s first SACCO-to-bank instant payment ecosystem at scale.

He said the integration will enhance operational efficiency, supports cash flow management for SMEs, and encourage broader adoption of digital channels across the cooperative sector.

“We are setting a new benchmark for SACCOs by enabling instant payments interoperability with all the leading mobile and USSD payment and banking channels. This is a model that other SACCOs across can participate in –so we can all embed digital financial services and genuine economic inclusion,” said Kirika.
