Universal Traders SACCO has emerged among the top performers at the South Eastern Agricultural Show (Machakos ASK Show), scooping three trophies during the second day of the annual event.
The agricultural exhibition, which began on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, in Machakos, is scheduled to run until Sunday, June 7, 2026.
The SACCO was awarded Position 1 (Winner) for Best Cooperative Movement and SACCO Stand. It also emerged as 1st Runner-Up (Position 2) for Best Interpretation of the Current Show Theme (Financial Industry) and 2nd Runner-Up (Position 3) for Best Financial Institution Other Than Banks.
In a statement shared on social media, the SACCO expressed appreciation to its members for their continued support.
“This milestone is a reflection of your continued support and trust in us as your financial partner of choice. Thank you, our esteemed members, for making this possible,” the SACCO said.
This year’s show is themed “Promoting Climate-Smart Agriculture and Trade Initiatives for Sustainable Economic Growth.”
The South Eastern Kenya National Show, commonly known as the Machakos ASK Show, is an annual agricultural and trade exhibition organized by the Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK). It serves as a key regional platform for agribusiness, climate-smart agriculture, and trade development.
